• Vonnegut on creativity

“Where do I get my ideas from? You might as well have asked that of Beethoven. He was goofing around in Germany like everybody else, and all of a sudden this stuff came gushing out of him. It was music.
I was goofing around like everybody else in Indiana, and all of a sudden stuff came gushing out. It was disgust with civilization.”

    1. God, I love VOnnegut

    2. I read this several times, and every time it made me smile again. The way Vonnegut put those words together it’s just perfect. I miss him on this planet. Man do I miss him.

    3. I have read most of Vonnegut’s books. I loved the crazyness, and the lopsidedness of his work during my twenties. Sometimes he got out of hand, but mostly he was dead on.
