Why Sell Your Site?

Webmasters have many different reasons for selling their websites, such as:

• Busy with a day job
• Site maintenance is too time-consuming
• Problems with spam, security issues etc
• High web hosting fees
• Earnings don’t justify spending time running the site

I’m looking to buy websites that meet the following criteria.

1. Established Websites

I’m looking to buy established websites, not ‘turnkey’ sites (read: launched last Tuesday). I’m looking for a userbase or some reputation in the site’s niche.

2. Significant Traffic

I’m looking for websites with significant traffic in their niche. Obviously a site promoting free stuff, for example, will be far more popular than an niche product like child savings bonds, but please use common sense.

3. I’m Not Looking For…

• ‘Turnkey’ sites (read: shoddy niche knockoffs)
• Dropshipping sites
• Smut, pills or poker sites
• ‘Me too’ sites: proxies, arcades, whatever else is in vogue on Digital Point this week
• Made-for-Adsense sites

4. I’m Particularly Interested In…

• Sites with premium keyword domains
  (eg, using NewYorkCity.com for your ‘94 vacation photos? Let’s talk.)
• eBay affiliate sites
• Amazon affiliate sites
